Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa is hiring for a spa team member to greet guests, assist with spa usage, and manage front-desk transactions. You will handle payments and maintain cleanliness in spa facilities while supporting retail operations.

The role requires one year of spa or retail experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 100 pounds. Benefits start Day 1 and include health coverage and career development.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet guests and offer assistance and/or instruction in the use of the Spa.
• Collect fees and accurately handle all cash, checks, credit card, gift certificates and comp transactions.
• Maintain on a daily basis a high level of cleanliness in the spa facilities.
• Unpack, stock and price all merchandise in the retail area as needed with the ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Schedules spa and salon treatments
• Responsible for knowing all new policies and procedures in the Spa.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures for the Spa.
• All other duties assigned and required to help enhance the spa.

• This position is physical in nature and requires the ability to maneuver to assist guests in the proper use of equipment and to perform other job duties.
• Ability to lift up to sixty pounds and push and pull up to one hundred pounds of towels, equipment, and supplies.
• This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, wet/humid conditions, crowds, and noise.
• Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as slippery conditions; proper safety precautions are taken.
• Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
