Job Description

This role focuses on performing commercial plumbing work on new construction projects, ensuring that all systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and test commercial plumbing systems and fixtures for new construction projects

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements for pipes and fixtures

• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using appropriate tools and techniques

• Install and connect water supply lines, drainage systems, and related components according to project plans and plumbing codes

• Inspect completed plumbing installations to verify proper operation, identify any issues, and make necessary adjustments or repairs

• Collaborate with general contractors, tradespeople, and site supervisors to coordinate plumbing work and maintain project timelines

• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while working on construction sites

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and orderly condition

Essential Skills

• Proven experience performing plumbing work, preferably in commercial or new construction environments

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation techniques for commercial buildings

• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

• Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, threaders, benders, and power tools

• Understanding of relevant plumbing codes, standards, and safety regulations

• P1 plumbing qualification

• P2 plumbing qualification

• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team while meeting project deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving plumbing issues

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Norwalk, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
