Job summary
Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corp. in Danbury, CT is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer to design, program, test, and maintain PLCs for custom automation projects.
You will collaborate with project managers, electrical and software engineers, and proposal engineers to ensure proper system integration. The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, PLC experience, and proficiency in ladder logic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Work experience with PLCs.
- Proficiency in ladder logic, FBD, and related languages.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Familiarity with HMI design and SCADA systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, test, and maintain PLCs for automation projects.
- Develop and maintain HMI terminals for user interaction.
- Document control system designs and track modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper implementation.
- Assist in commissioning and startup of projects.
