This person will work with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, troubleshoot controls issues, and deliver automation projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs, HMI applications, and industrial control systems.
• Diagnose electrical and controls issues involving sensors, drives, motors, networks, and automated equipment.
• Design and implement controls upgrades that improve safety, uptime, quality, and throughput.
• Support equipment installation, startup, testing, and commissioning.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, control documentation, and program backups.
• Partner with maintenance technicians and operators to resolve recurring equipment issues and provide technical training.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and integrators on new installations and system improvements.
• Follow applicable electrical and machine safety practices, including lockout/tagout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, industrial networks, electrical schematics, and control panels.
• Ability to troubleshoot at the machine and identify the root cause of equipment failures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
