Job summary

Axis Energy Services, LLC. seeks a PLC Programmer to design, develop, install, and support PLC systems in industrial environments. You will work with platforms from Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Schneider Electric to optimize automated production.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with engineers, technicians, and operations. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience and a related bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 3–5 years of PLC programming and industrial automation experience in manufacturing or process environments.
• Proficiency in ladder logic, function block, and structured text for major PLC brands (Allen-Bradley RSLogix, Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider EcoStruxure).
• Experience with industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, and DeviceNet.
• Familiarity with HMI and SCADA development tools and interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities for electrical and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement PLC code and logic for automated machinery and industrial processes using major PLC platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and production management to design control system architectures that meet specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues with PLCs, field devices, sensors, and actuators; perform routine maintenance.
• Document PLC programs, wiring diagrams, network layouts, and configurations per standards.
• Test, validate, and commission new installations and upgrades ensuring safety and performance.
• Integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA, and other automation components.
• Analyze process data to identify automation improvements and cost reductions.
• Provide training and support to operators and maintenance staff; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination for automation projects.
