Electrical Automation Services in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a skilled PLC Controls Engineer for an on-site, day-shift role. You will provide Tier 1–2 troubleshooting for high-speed beverage processing lines and lead controls projects with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation or related field.
• At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, networks and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent cross-functional communication across plant teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues and implement fixes.
• Lead control projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on controls best practices.
• Maintain backups, drawings, and change records; support commissioning and upgrades.
