Job summary

Refresco in Alabama is seeking a skilled maintenance technician/engineer to support an active food and beverage production line. You will troubleshoot and repair automation systems, calibrate equipment, and upgrade PLC hardware/software while following GMP and safety standards.

You will install new equipment, replace drives and HMI panels, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Strong AB PLC experience and planning skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Three+ years experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
• Rockwell Maintainer certificate preferred (obtained within 24 months if not held).
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs required.
• Electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills required.
• Maintenance Skills Assessment required to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in troubleshooting during equipment failures.
• Maintain, test and upgrade production equipment; install and test new equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC and automation issues.
• Calibrate and test equipment for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist PLC system upgrades and improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Modify programs for optimization and new process requirements.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and programming changes.
• Train team members on basic PLC functions and troubleshooting.
• Perform preventative maintenance and planned mechanical duties.
• Identify process improvements to reduce costs and improve reliability.
