Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking a plating technician to perform plating work per the SIFCO Process and to support quoting activities. The role requires adherence to customer specifications and collaboration with Inside Sales to resolve technical questions.

The position involves designing tooling and fixtures, maintaining equipment, and upholding safety and process standards. Travel may be required to meet delivery expectations and customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Performs plating work using equipment and solutions as defined by the SIFCO Process.
• Adheres to specifications on customer purchase orders.
• Assists Contract Service Manager in preparing costs for quoting.
• Works with Inside Sales to resolve customer technical questions.
• Designs and makes tooling and fixtures for efficient plating.
• Maintains equipment in working order and identifies maintenance needs.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment.
• Follows company policies and work instructions.
• Maintains positive customer relations with customer representatives.
• Travels as required to meet customer delivery expectations.
