Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking a plating technician to perform plating operations in accordance with the SIFCO Process and customer specifications. You will assist with quoting costs and work with Inside Sales to resolve technical questions while maintaining safe work practices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, or 3–6 months of related experience. Some travel may be required to meet delivery expectations at customer sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Maintains work area to assure safe and clean work environment.
• Follows all company policies, department procedures and job-specific work instructions.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional customer relations when interacting with customer representatives.
• Travels as required to meet customer delivery expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit.
