Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking a plating technician in Ohio to perform plating work using the SIFCO process and adhere to customer specifications. The role includes cost quoting support, collaboration with Inside Sales, and tooling design to improve efficiency.

Travel to meet delivery expectations may be required, with emphasis on safety and quality in a manufacturing setting. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, or 3–6 months related experience, and offers a robust benefits package

Qualifications

• 3-6 months related experience or training may be considered.
• Willingness to travel to meet customer delivery expectations.

Responsibilities

• Performs plating work utilizing appropriate equipment and solutions as defined by the SIFCO Process.
• Adheres to all specifications as detailed on customer purchase orders.
• Assists Contract Service Manager in preparing accurate costs for the Quoting process.
• Works with Inside Sales to help resolve customer technical questions.
• Designs and makes tooling and fixtures to facilitate efficient and effective plating.
• Maintains equipment in working order and identifies items needing maintenance.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional customer relations.
• Travels as required to meet customer delivery expectations.
