Job summary

Astronomer is seeking a Customer Reliability Engineer (CRE) to join our distributed team. You will focus on the reliability of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters, respond to incidents, and ensure permanent resolution with monitoring and automation.

This is a remote, multi-cloud role with exposure to diverse industries and customers. You will own incident response, collaborate with customers to resolve issues, and contribute to observability, monitoring, and automation efforts across

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with large, complex cloud infrastructures at scale.
• 3 years of experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience managing a Production distributed system on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong Linux experience and Python scripting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to customers to help them succeed with our products.
• Troubleshoot customer environments and perform active triage with customers.
• Participate in on-call rotation for weekend coverage.
• Build out monitoring and alerting systems for reliability.
• Assist in directing product architecture and improvements.
• Own the customer experience and meet SLAs with white-glove guidance.
