Job summary

WRITER is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to keep our high-availability platform running 24/7. You’ll design scalable, fault-tolerant systems across AWS, GCP, and Azure, automate with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm, and embed AI-powered workflows into operations.

This hybrid role is based in our NYC, San Francisco, Seattle, or London hubs, reporting to the Director of Engineering. You’ll own incident response, write runbooks, and drive reliability improvements while balancing velocity and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure, DevOps, or similar role in high-availability systems.
• Experience running containerised production clusters with Terraform or Pulumi on AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Proven AI-enabled workflows in daily development and production.
• Strong ability to balance reliability with velocity and design for rollback.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and efficiency of core services end-to-end.
• Define and uphold SLOs and error budgets; manage on-call pager.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and root-cause analyses.
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams across the org.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure across major clouds.
