Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Program Engineering Manager to lead the persistent HIL and validation infrastructure for SDV2. You will define asset strategy, ownership models, and lifecycle plans to support vehicle programs and platform commitments.

You will collaborate with platform PEMs/APEMs to connect bench readiness to execution plans, drive cross-functional coordination, and ensure timely delivery of labs, Co-Sim, and CVF environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in relevant areas.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex hardware, software, systems, validation, or vehicle-program execution.
• Experience with HIL, SIL, Co-Sim, vehicle integration, night regression, test automation, validation infrastructure.
• Experience managing physical engineering assets, laboratories, test benches, ECUs, harnesses, instrumentation, and related infrastructure.
• Experience managing technical dependencies, configuration baselines, asset readiness, milestone timing, risks, and recovery plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the persistent HIL and physical-validation strategy.
• Build a prioritized physical-asset roadmap aligned to SDV2 and program timing.
• Coordinate asset readiness with platform teams and engineering leaders.
• Lead recurring asset-readiness cadences and enterprise validation infrastructure.
• Translate technical needs into owner assignments, dates, and milestones.
• Represent asset readiness in reviews and milestone communications.
