Happy Returns is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Platform Team. This remote role guides shared services, data workflows, and tooling that empower the broader engineering org, translating business needs into actionable work.

You'll lead with people leadership and technical judgment, shape the roadmap, and own product direction while delivering high-impact outcomes for our return-tech platform across the US.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of an engineering team.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers with clear feedback and career growth planning.
• Define and maintain Platform Team product vision and roadmap.
• Translate stakeholder needs into scoped initiatives with leads and engineers.
• Establish ownership, timelines, and communicate progress and risks.
• Maintain OKRs, dashboards, and documentation.
• Promote clean code, testing, observability, and postmortems.
