Job summary

Happy Returns LLC in the United States is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to build and operate backend services powering our core data platform and internal tooling. You will design reliable APIs, data-access layers, and service integrations to improve reliability, performance, and developer experience.

You will work with Go and Python, build data pipelines, participate in architecture reviews, enforce clean code, and collaborate with Product and Data teams to translate needs into scalable

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience building backend APIs or services.
Familiarity with databases and data storage technologies.
Ability to ship clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
Strong collaborative mindset with stakeholders across the organization.
Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of implementing and delivering new features and projects using Golang, Python, and PostgreSQL.
Build and maintain data pipelines powering analytics and product capabilities.
Contribute to architecture discussions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
Enforce clean code standards, code reviews, and maintainability through testing.
Learn from senior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
