Qualifications

• Experience leading platform/infrastructure engineers.
• Ability to contribute production code, infra, and automation.
• Judgment to evaluate architecture, reliability, cost, and delivery tradeoffs.
• Track record turning ambiguous needs into clear priorities.
• Experience improving CI/CD, observability, service templates, or internal tools.
• Daily use of coding agents and understanding where they aid engineering work.
• Proven ability to improve throughput without sacrificing quality.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and giving direct feedback to engineers.
• Strong, clear communication across engineering and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a platform engineering team with clear goals and high standards.
• Set priorities with application, AI, data, security, and product teams based on impact.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operation of production services.
• Guide technical decisions and contribute to platform code, infra, and automation.
• Build an AI-native engineering environment with agent-ready repositories and reusable workflows.
• Improve how agent work is scoped, contextualized, and validated.
• Track delivery speed, CI performance, reliability, and operational load.
• Lead incident response and ensure follow-up improvements.
• Hire strong engineers to scale the team as Doctronic grows.
