Job summary

Neko Health is seeking a Director of Software Engineering, Platform, to lead the design, scaling, and reliability of our core infrastructure in New York. The role enables the rest of the organization to scale impact 10X faster through an AI-first platform that underpins health data and clinic operations.

You will build and guide a high-performance platform engineering team, partner with Product and Data, and define the long-term platform strategy to support regional expansion and data-driven

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and scaling large-scale infrastructure systems.
• Experience building infrastructure as a platform or SRE-level systems.
• Strong hands-on engineering background; ability to code and design systems.
• Experience scaling infrastructure across regions.
• Experience using AI tooling platforms (Claude Code).
• Experience leading managers and scaling to multi-team structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, scaling, and reliability of Neko Health’s core infrastructure.
• Deliver an AI-first platform ensuring resilience and regional scale.
• Define long-term platform strategy in close partnership with Product and Data.
• Build and scale a high-performance platform engineering team (10‑15 engineers initially).
• Establish a scalable, secure infrastructure platform on Azure supporting health and member data.
