Job summary

Genius AI is seeking an Engineering Manager for Platform teams who will own end-to-end delivery, quality, and architectural decisions that scale our core systems used by 120,000+ service businesses. You’ll partner with Product and Design, drive AI tooling adoption, and lead a high-growth engineering organization in a hybrid NYC/SF setup.

You will mentor engineers, grow the team, and set technical direction while minimizing debt.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with leadership exposure.
Experience managing a software team at a high-growth tech company.
Proficient with AI-powered tooling and systems.
Strong architectural judgment and technical decision-making.
Customer-centric mindset aligning engineering to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery and quality for platform teams.
Lead tier-zero systems, identity, permissions, session management, and messaging infrastructure.
Collaborate with Product and Design from strategy to production.
Support team growth and hiring, maintaining high team health.
Balance shipping speed with reducing technical debt and risk.
