Nourish, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead Provider Quality.

You will oversee a 4–5 engineer team, drive architecture and product decisions, and partner with clinical leadership to deliver AI-assisted workflows that translate transcripts into actionable care signals. Based in New York City or San Francisco, this full-time role blends leadership with technical execution to improve outcomes in a fast-paced, AI-native health platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on engineering management experience
• Ability to write a PRD, critique a design, size opportunities
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL or similar stacks
• Experience shipping production systems in fast-paced environments
• Strong leadership with technical depth and delivery focus

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team of 4–5 engineers with technical ownership
• Coach through feedback, career development, and performance cycles
• Scale through recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding
• Stay hands-on with architecture, coding, reviews, and on-call
• Collaborate with product/design to define roadmaps and measurable outcomes
• Drive system design, observability, reliability, and scalability
• Establish team rituals and planning processes
• Set technical/product direction for clinician-facing quality platform
• Build AI-assisted workflows translating transcripts into notes and signals
• Partner with clinical leadership, providers, product, data, and compliance to measure care quality
