Doctronic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Platform team in a hybrid role based in New York City or San Francisco. You will guide architecture, contribute to code and operations, and focus on reliability, security, and cost.

The role demands hands-on management with an emphasis on AI-native tooling and end-to-end platform enablement. You will hire and coach engineers, set priorities with product and security teams, and drive improvements in CI/CD, observability, and incident

Qualifications

• Experience leading platform/infrastructure engineers and delivering reliable systems.
• Ability to contribute production code, infrastructure, and automation.
• Judgment to balance architecture, security, cost, and delivery tradeoffs.
• Track record turning needs into clear engineering priorities.
• Experience improving CI/CD, observability, and internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of platform engineers with clear goals and feedback.
• Set priorities with cross-functional teams across engineering, data, security, and product.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operation of production services.
• Contribute to platform code, infrastructure, and automation decisions.
• Build an AI-native engineering environment with reusable workflows.
• Improve how agent work is scoped, contextualized, and automated.
• Track delivery speed, CI performance, reliability, and operational load.
• Lead incident response and drive durable improvements.
• Hire strong engineers and scale the team with Doctronic growth.
