Job summary

Versant Health is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to lead strategy, delivery, and modernization of enterprise platform capabilities across on‑premises, hybrid cloud, and container environments.

You will establish the target model, build a high‑performing team, and drive an IaC‑driven operating model with reusable platform services that improve speed, security, and auditability.

Qualifications

• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Tanzu, or similar container platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, automated provisioning, and infrastructure deployment standards.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise platform engineering strategy and modernization roadmap.
• Lead Platform Engineering team and establish service portfolio, priorities, and practices.
• Deliver reusable platform services and deployment patterns across hybrid cloud and container platforms.
• Advance IaC, GitOps, CI/CD, and automated testing to reduce manual work.
• Provide technical direction for cloud and container platforms (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Embed security, identity, access control, and audit requirements into platform designs.
