Job summary

7Seventy seeks a Head of Engineering to own technical strategy, platform architecture, and the engineering org behind a production AI platform. You will translate company strategy into technical direction, scale architecture, and build a high-performing team responsible for delivering ambitious product commitments with reliability.

The role blends hands-on leadership with executive ownership, requiring experience with large-scale AI/ML systems, distributed infrastructure, security, and cost

Qualifications

• Extensive engineering leadership experience in scale.
• Hands-on credibility with large systems and senior engineers.
• Direct experience building running AI/ML systems in production.
• Ownership of platform architecture aligned with business growth.
• Executive-level communication of risk and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical strategy translating goals into a platform vision.
• Lead architecture of the core platform and its AI components.
• Build and mentor the engineering organization, including leadership development.
• Drive delivery through milestones, remove blockers, ensure reliability.
• Partner with execs and board to provide technical risk/opportunity insights.
