Job summary

Neko Health is seeking a senior engineering leader to own the architecture, build and rollout of its internal AI developer platform. You will be hands-on and set long-term direction for AI agents, tooling and the systems that support them, ensuring adoption across engineering teams.

The role demands deep backend engineering expertise, experience shipping platform tooling to large developer teams, and a track record of influencing change without formal authority.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and shipping an internal developer platform, hands-on, not advisory.
• A strong track record leading agentic or AI-assisted development work used daily by engineers.
• Real backend engineering depth with production systems; Java or C# preferred.
• Experience rolling out platform tooling to 20–30+ developers with meaningful adoption.
• Expertise with workflow engines such as AWS Step Functions, Azure Durable Functions, Temporal, Conductor or Dagster.
• 10–15+ years of engineering experience with substantial platform ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, build and rollout of Neko's internal AI developer platform.
• Lead hands-on technical direction while doing the work.
• Shape long-term direction for AI agents, tooling and underlying systems.
• Ensure the platform gets used across teams and changes engineering workflows.
