Job summary

Worldpay is seeking a Platform Engineer II to join the GKOP Platform run by the Atlas team. This hybrid role involves managing OpenShift/Kubernetes across 25+ clusters in 6 AWS regions, focusing on reliability, security, and performance for payment services.

You will design declarative infrastructure, build or integrate operators, and own observability, security, and incident response to keep the platform healthy and scalable. Salary range $91,900–$138,700 announced for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field and 5+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Solid production experience with container orchestration (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Experience with AWS and immutable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Multi-region OpenShift platform operations across 6 AWS regions and 25+ clusters.
• Design and maintain declarative infrastructure using Kubernetes manifests.
• Build or integrate Kubernetes operators to reduce toil and enable self-serve teams.
• Own observability, monitoring, alerting, and logging for the platform.
• Implement container security controls to meet regulatory requirements.
• Incident response and troubleshooting across the fleet.
