Job summary

Worldpay is seeking a Platform Engineer II to help scale our GKOP Atlas platform across multiple AWS regions, ensuring reliability for payment services. You will design declarative infrastructure with Kubernetes manifests and build operators to automate tasks, enabling consumer teams to self-serve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field plus 5+ years of experience.
• Solid experience with production container orchestration (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Experience with AWS and immutable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Multi-region OpenShift platform operations across 25+ clusters in 6 AWS regions.
• Infrastructure as Code & GitOps using Kubernetes manifests.
• Kubernetes Operators & automation to reduce toil and enable self‑service.
• Observability, monitoring, and platform health ownership.
• Container security and compliance for payments and regulatory needs.
• Incident response and troubleshooting across the fleet.
