Global Payments Inc. is hiring a Platform Engineer II to join the GKOP Platform run by the Atlas team and help unleash the potential of every business. The role focuses on scalable OpenShift operations, IAM/security, and automation across a multi‑region environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong container orchestration experience, AWS proficiency, and programming skills in Python or Golang, along with GitOps and CI/CD tooling expertise.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, now or in the future. Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
This position is hybrid, three days per week, in the following offices: Cincinnati, OH; Atlanta, GA; Jacksonville, FL; or Denver, CO. Remote work is not permitted.

Within our Platform Team at Worldpay, we build, release, and operate technology products and services to support an elastically scalable and fault‑tolerant platform running Kubernetes with OpenShift at scale. We explore the evolution of containerized runtimes and look to take advantage of emerging technology around service mesh and serverless. We also get involved in persistence‑related topics like Kafka.
