Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure (DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering).
• Strong production experience with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably EKS, including cluster operations and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC tools.
• Experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with GitHub administration or governance concepts.
• Knowledge of observability, reliability, and incident troubleshooting in distributed systems.
• Experience in regulated environments (PCI-DSS, SOC 2) valuable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; document decisions and ownership in Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and improve Payrix's cloud-native platform used by engineering teams.
• Create self-service platform patterns and clear golden paths (EKS, IaC, GitHub Actions, observability).
• Develop automation to reduce manual steps and document runbooks in Confluence.
• Partner with engineering teams as an enabling platform team and provide hands-on support.
• Design and operate AWS/EKS foundations, including cluster patterns, access, and DR readiness.
• Migrate from Jenkins to GitHub Actions and standardize cloud-native delivery.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure across AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, and runtime layers.
• Contribute to governance, security tooling, and platform tooling enhancements.
