Job summary

Worldpay is seeking a Platform Engineer II to join the GKOP Platform Atlas team. You will manage a multi-region OpenShift platform across 25+ clusters in six AWS regions, ensuring reliability and security for payment services, and help us scale in a hybrid model.

You'll implement IaC and GitOps, build Kubernetes Operators, monitor platform health, and address incidents, working three days per week in Cincinnati, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; Jacksonville, Florida; or Denver, Colorado.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field plus 5+ years of experience.
Experience with container orchestration production (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and immutable infrastructure.
Extensive experience in AWS and programming languages such as Python or Golang.
Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform).

Responsibilities

Multi-region OpenShift platform operations across 25+ clusters in six AWS regions.
Design and maintain declarative infrastructure using Kubernetes manifests.
Build or integrate Kubernetes Operators to reduce toil and enable self‑serve.
Own monitoring, alerting, and logging for platform health.
Implement container security controls to support payment services and regulatory requirements.
Debug platform issues across the fleet.
