Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Platform Engineer for Flight Software (Starlink). You will own tooling, optimize the flight software ecosystem, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery of ground and satellite software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/math or 2+ years of software development.
• Experience in C/C++, Python, or similar programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain flight code generation tooling for flight software and GNC engineers
• Maintain core flight software features shared across satellite products
• Work with flight software developers to fix slow or error prone aspects of embedded software development
• Invent tools and processes that enable fast, accurate, and easy-to-use development and operational systems
• Engage ground software teams to understand where flight systems should be changed to simplify constellation operations
