Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an ambitious Software Infrastructure Engineer for the Starlink flight software team in Redmond to streamline tooling, build systems, and interfaces, accelerating iteration across ground and satellite software.

You will own full lifecycle governance of software, collaborating with engineers to remove bottlenecks, improve performance, and deliver high-quality flight software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM or 2+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; familiarity with embedded/flight software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain flight code generation tooling for flight software and GNC engineers.
• Maintain core flight software features shared across satellite products.
• Collaborate with flight software developers to fix slow or error-prone embedded software aspects.
• Invent tools and processes for fast, accurate development and operations.
• Coordinate with ground software teams to simplify constellation operations.
