Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking engineers to own and develop mission-critical software used in launch production and Starlink operations. You will build reliable web applications, prototype key concepts, and participate in architecture and code reviews.

Requirements include a BS in CS/engineering/math or 2+ years of software experience, with 1+ years in full stack development and OO languages. Onsite only; competitive compensation and a broad benefits package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related discipline or 2+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree.
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java or similar OO language.
• 1+ years of building single page web applications.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts, and deployments.
• Expertise in profiling and improving application performance.
• Experience designing and deploying AI systems with LLM prompting and context retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
• Create new applications to improve SpaceX operations.
• Build prototypes to validate key design concepts and constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Deep dive into user problems to craft efficient solutions.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews.
