Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Infrastructure Engineer for the Starlink Flight Software team in Redmond. You will own tooling and core flight software features, working closely with engineers to streamline embedded development and rapid iteration across ground and satellite software.

You will tackle bottlenecks in build systems, interface complexity, and tooling investments, enabling faster, higher-quality software delivery for SpaceX missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM OR 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python or similar languages.
• Knowledge of build systems and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain flight code generation tooling for flight software and GNC engineers.
• Maintain core flight software features shared across satellite products.
• Collaborate with flight software developers to fix slow/ error-prone embedded software areas.
• Invent tools and processes to enable fast, accurate development and operations.
• Engage ground software teams to simplify constellation operations.
