About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to join our client's Enterprise Tools and Automation group and help shape the future of their Internal Developer Platform (IDP) — think “Amazon for developers.” In this role, you will partner with Cloud Engineering and Engineering Productivity teams to design and build the tools, frameworks, and pipelines that empower developers across the enterprise.

This is more than just a DevOps or SRE role — it’s about creating world-class developer experiences through automation, infrastructure as code, and a platform mindset. You’ll be a key enabler for faster innovation across the organization while maintaining rigorous standards required by a highly regulated financial environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and scale reusable CI/CD pipelines, frameworks, and automation tools with a focus on developer experience and speed-to-market.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS).
• Work cross-functionally with upstream cloud engineering and internal partners like product teams and financial platform teams (e.g., Kai and Ana Cooper’s orgs).
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to define and drive platform capabilities that align with compliance and regulatory standards.
• Contribute code directly — both infrastructure and application code — with a focus on test-driven development and long-term maintainability.
• Influence the developer platform strategy and participate in building new capabilities from the ground up.

Who You Are

• You have 6+ years of hands-on experience building end-to-end DevOps and software systems.
• You bring a solid blend of DevOps (60–70%) and software development (30–40%) experience.
• You’re confident writing production code in Python and/or Java (deep strength in at least one).
• You have 3–5 years of Terraform experience — not just as a user, but as someone who can scale and structure IaC effectively.
• You have deep knowledge of AWS compute services and a recent history of building on AWS.
• You thrive in a test-driven development environment and care deeply about code quality.
• You’re energized by solving platform-level challenges and improving the daily lives of developers.
• You’re open to working hybrid (1–2 days onsite), and if you’re exceptional, we’re open to supporting relocation.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to additional cloud platforms is welcome (though AWS should be your primary experience).
• Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services.
