Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or by phone, delivering excellent customer service.
• Obtains demographic, payer, financial, medical information, and identification to schedule/register.
• Obtains authorization/referrals and collects payments as required.
• Verifies payer information and seeks appropriate authorizations for services.
• Documents all activity in the registration/QA systems.
• Notifies patients of deductibles, co-pays, balances, and deposits; collects payments.
• Schedules physician or hospital services and confirms appointments.
• Communicates with departments to address issues and accommodate needs.
