Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone.
• Complies with HIPAA and EMTALA regulations.
• Interviews patients to obtain required information for registration.
• Collects payments and provides receipts.
• Verifies payer information and obtains necessary authorizations.
• Documents activities in the hospital system.
• Directs families to appropriate locations within the facility.
• Schedules hospital services and pre-registers/registers patients.
