Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an advanced practice provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The role encompasses ambulatory and inpatient patient care, first assisting in the operating room, and inpatient rounding within a multi-specialty plastic surgery group.

Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing or PA certification with active licensure in Georgia and BLS. Credentialing must be completed prior to work.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner credentials: Master's in Nursing and ANCC certification or equivalent.
• PA credentials: NCCPA certification and GA licensure to practice.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required for NP/PA roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory and inpatient care in a multi-specialty plastic surgery setting.
• First assist in the operating room.
• Manage clinic schedule and coordinate perioperative care with physicians and nurses.
• Perform postoperative visits and ambulatory procedures as directed by the surgeon lead.
• Educate patients and promote Plastics clinic activities and programs.
