Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to support the Department of Surgery's Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division. Candidates include Nurse Practitioners with a Master’s in Nursing and ANCC certification or Physician Assistants with NCCPA certification and GA licensure.

Qualifications

• NP requires MSN and ANCC certification with GA license.
• PA requires NCCPA certification and GA medical licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly clinic as a stand-alone APP.
• Examine patients and determine need for surgery.
• Review medical history and plan procedures with physician lead.
• Complete preoperative steps including informed consent and scheduling.
• Perform postoperative visits for select patients.
• Perform ambulatory procedures for wound care, cosmetics and excisional biopsies.
• First assist in the operating room.
• Support Plastics clinic activities and provide educational materials.
