Job summary

Wellstar Health System is hiring APPs (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery division in Georgia. The role covers ambulatory management of cosmetic and reconstructive patients, first assist in surgery, and inpatient responsibilities, with involvement in clinic operations and education.

The NP path requires an MSN with ANCC certification and BLS, while the PA path requires NCCPA certification and GA licensure with ongoing CME.

Qualifications

• NP role requires Master's Degree in Nursing and ANCC certification, or equivalent nursing license with BLS.
• PA role requires PA program graduation, NCCPA certification, and GA state licensure with ongoing CME.
• Both roles require current BLS and credentialing by the appropriate office.

Responsibilities

• Provide stand-alone ambulatory care and manage weekly clinic responsibilities.
• Examine patients and determine need for surgery in consultation with physician lead.
• Review patient history and plan procedures with the surgical team.
• Perform preoperative education and obtain informed consent.
• Assist in the operating room and perform postoperative visits as directed.
• Support Plastics clinic activities and provide educational materials.
