Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks an APP/PA to provide patient-centered care in ambulatory and inpatient settings within a multi-specialty plastic surgery group.

The role includes clinic management, assisting in the operating room, inpatient rounds, and coordination with physicians. Requires Nurse Practitioner with ANCC or PA licensure in GA, BLS, and full credentialing; advanced certification may be required. Excellent teamwork and communication essential.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing; ANCC certification or equivalent, or licensed as an advanced practice nurse in GA.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Physician's Assistant licensed to practice in GA with ongoing CME requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly clinic as a stand-alone provider.
• Examine patients and determine need for surgery.
• Review patient history and plan the best procedure with physician lead.
• Complete all preparatory steps for surgery, obtain informed consent, schedule surgery with surgeons and provide preoperative education.
• Perform postoperative visits for select patients as directed by the operating surgeon.
• Perform ambulatory procedures for wound care, cosmetics, and excisional biopsies.
• First assist in the operating room.
• Promote activities and programs for the Plastics clinic and provide educational materials.
