Octapharma Plasma, Inc. seeks a plasmapheresis technician to execute the plasmapheresis process and perform venipunctures. The role emphasizes compliance with FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP, while delivering excellent donor service.

The position involves setup, operation of automated plasmapheresis machines, alarm response, troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should be able to work variable daytime/evening shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 3 months’ experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Completed training documentation prior to performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation complies with FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA and GMP for safety and quality.
• Maintain donor experience with strong customer service in line with company values.
• Set up and prepare all equipment for plasmapheresis and venipuncture, label units accurately.
• Perform venipunctures and plasma collection with high safety standards.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines, respond to alarms, troubleshoot and document exceptions.
• Manage biohazard waste and clean spills per safety protocols.
• Maintain logs, perform regular instrument calibration and maintenance.
• Mentor and train team members as a designated trainer; support QA on performance.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on CAPAs and continuous improvement.
