Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a plasmapheresis technician to perform venipunctures and operate automated plasmapheresis machines. The role emphasizes donor safety, strict adherence to SOPs, and maintaining high production standards in a regulated environment.

The candidate will ensure accurate documentation, support a positive donor experience, and collaborate with the team to meet daily production needs. Ability to work day/evening shifts and lift up to 35 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 months of experience in a medical/healthcare setting preferred.
• Training documentation completed before performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute plasmapheresis and venipuncture procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP.
• Maintain donor experience and provide high-level customer service.
• Stock supplies and maintain a clean, professional environment.
• Verify donor ID and maintain confidentiality per SOPs.
• Set up equipment and label samples accurately.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
• Monitor donor safety and plasma product quality.
• Maintain machine logs and document safety events.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment; remove faulty units.
• Document thoroughly and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist training to improve efficiency and compliance.
