Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Plasmapheresis Technician to perform venipunctures and operate automated plasmapheresis machines in a fast-paced donation center.

You will ensure donor safety, comfort, and a positive experience while maintaining compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA and GMP standards. You will set up equipment, document machine logs, respond to alarms, manage biohazard waste, and train teammates as a Designated Trainer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent (GED).
• Three (3) months experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute plasmapheresis procedures and venipunctures according to SOPs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP.
• Maintain donor experience and cleanliness.
• Set up equipment and label units accurately.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
• Document machine logs and QC tasks.
• Mentor trainees as Designated Trainer and drive training efficiencies.
• Perform routine calibrations/maintenance of machines.
• Partner with QA on donor floor performance.
• Handle biohazard waste per safety protocols.
