Job summary

CSL Vifor in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Plasma Center Technician to support sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and ensure accurate labeling and strict adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities include maintaining proper storage, performing sterile sample collection and documenting donor data. The role promotes safety in a fast-paced center and may require overtime and cross-training to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units properly according to SOPs.
• Verify labels match pre-printed and dynamic labels.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and seal units per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation per SOPs.
• Monitor freezer/refrigerator temperatures and report issues.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
