Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a plasma sample technician responsible for collecting samples, storing plasma units, and maintaining accurate donor records. The role emphasizes sterile technique, precise labeling, shipping documentation, and strict adherence to SOPs.

The position requires basic math skills, a high school diploma, and at least 3 months in a lab or warehouse setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to SOPs.
• Verify pre-printed labels match dynamic labels to ensure accurate unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and ensure sterility of plasma unit samples per SOPs.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report equipment issues immediately.
• Calibrate equipment daily as required by SOPs.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety in all actions.
• Cross-train in other areas if needed and maintain confidentiality of all information.
