Job summary

CSL Vifor in New Jersey is seeking a Plasma Sample Technician to ensure accurate collection, labeling, and storage of donor plasma. You will handle sterile sampling, unit labeling, and routine shippings in a fast-paced environment while adhering to SOPs and safety policies.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 3 months of related experience. Candidates must be able to perform basic math and be willing to work overtime to support center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Store plasma units according to SOPs and assist with unsuitable plasma units as needed.
• Verify pre-printed label matches dynamic label for unit accuracy.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to maintain sterility and quality of samples.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation per SOPs and center procedures.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any equipment issues.
• Perform daily calibration of equipment per SOPs.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
