Job summary

Qualifications

• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for plasma collection and handling.
• Ability to maintain proper labeling and unit traceability.
• Knowledge of proper storage and shipping procedures for biological materials.
• Ability to monitor temperatures and record variances.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move units to freezer per SOPs.
• Store plasma units according to SOPs and handle unsuitable units.
• Verify pre-printed labels match dynamic labels for accurate unit labeling.
• Use sterile technique and heat sealer to ensure sterility and quality.
• Prepare shipping and disposal documentation; assist with packing.
• Monitor freezer/refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
