Job summary

CSL Vifor in Springfield, MO seeks a Plasma Center Technician responsible for sampling, testing, shipping and storage of donor plasma.

Reports to the Assistant Center Manager and works under SOPs to ensure product quality, proper labeling, sterile technique, and safe handling. Requires a high school diploma and 3 months of related experience; may involve lifting up to 25 pounds and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.
• Understand and follow SOPs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
• Ensure plasma units are stored according to SOPs.
• Verify labels match pre-printed and dynamic labels for accuracy.
• Use sterile technique to draw samples and seal for sterility and quality.
• Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation as needed.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report variances.
• Calibrate equipment daily as per SOPs.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic system.
