Job summary

Qualifications

• Active state licensure from a professional healthcare provider is required.
• Foreign medical school graduates must be licensed or certified as EMT in the state.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a health care setting or equivalent.
• Experience in a plasma or blood collection center is preferred.
• Ability to assess physical signs during donor evaluation.
• Ability to instruct donors and staff on donation programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director on donor suitability questions.

Skills

Education

Active state licensure (paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school)

Foreign medical school graduate with physician license or EMT certification in state

Healthcare work experience (1 year)
