Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Donor Center Phlebotomist to collect plasma from donors, monitor pheresis, and ensure adherence to SOPs and FDA guidelines. The role includes donor setup, monitoring, and post-donation procedures, with emphasis on safety and donor experience.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 12 months in a medical or healthcare setting; California centers may require state certification or RN status. Local policies and training are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For Centers located in CA the following experience is also required: state certified as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I, OR current Registered Nurse by the State of California.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors by performing venipuncture and monitoring the pheresis process.
• Perform all aspects of pheresis and plasma collection in compliance with SOPs, including setup, monitoring, and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis in accordance with FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and adjust to ensure efficiency and donor safety.
• Educate new donors on therapeutic products, screening, tests, appointment systems, and center policies.
