Job summary

CSL plasma center in New York is seeking a plasma pheresis technician to perform venipuncture, monitor the pheresis process and collect plasma in accordance with SOPs.

You will educate donors on the process, monitor for donor safety, document incidents, and ensure accurate donor data entry while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Experience in a medical/healthcare setting and California-specific phlebotomy or RN credentials are noted for CA postings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For Centers located in CA the following experience is also required: Persons performing automated plasmapheresis procedures must be at a minimum state certified as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I, OR Current Registered Nurse by the State of California.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors by venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process.
• Set up donors, monitor during pheresis and disconnect.
• Apply FDA guidelines and donor safety.
• Record donor data and incidents in the PDA/electronic system.
• Calibrate equipment and resolve alarms.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with HSE/OSHA.
